About Barbara | Barbara obtained a law degree at Warwick University when it was noted for its modern approach and the militancy of its students. With this training for life, on qualifying, she left West Cumbria to take up her first post as a solicitor in Sheffield specialising in wills, probate and residential conveyancing.
After a short spell doing the same work in a South Yorkshire mining community, Barbara swapped wills and probate for nappies and playgroup and South Yorkshire for Derbyshire.
She returned to the wills and probate with undiminished enthusiasm when her younger daughter started school.
