HIPS - Home Information Packs
Anyone selling a three bedroom house is required to put together a Home Information Pack (also known as a 'Hip'). Sellers who fail to produce a Hip could receive a substantial fine.
What does a Hip contain?
Packs will include:
- Evidence of title
- Copies of planning, listed building or building regulations consents
- A local search
- Guarantees for any work on the property
- An energy performance certificate.
- Water/Drainage Search
